Having recently gotten engaged, you are now embarking on the exciting journey of planning your big day. You have chosen to attend a Wedding Fair to gather inspiration for the upcoming event...
Couples who visit wedding fairs are filled with excitement and anticipation as they embark on the journey of planning their special day. They eagerly peruse the countless booths and exhibits, each one offering a myriad of inspiration for their dream wedding.
From stunning venue options to indulging in catering samples, every detail is carefully considered and discussed building upon the couple’s vision of a perfect celebration.
The atmosphere at the fair is buzzing with vendors showcasing their talents, from photographers capturing timeless moments to florists creating extravagant floral arrangements. As they chat with experts in the wedding industry, couples can feel the weight lifted off their shoulders as they receive valuable advice and guidance on how to bring their ideas to life.
However, visiting wedding fairs can also be very overwhelming. Here are my top tips for you to make the most of the fairs you visit.
Before you visit the wedding fair, set up a wedding e mail address to direct all wedding related mail and quotes to. This way you can track quotes and important correspondence focused on your big day.
Do some research on the wedding suppliers you are hoping to meet at the fair. Check out their website if you can, see what they offer.
Avoid the crowds on the day; go early or later in the day. This way you make sure you have the supplier’s attention. Ask questions about their availability, prices and the services and packages they offer.
Check the suppliers list and prioritise what is important to you for your wedding day.
There will be lots of amazing and gorgeous 'must have' things and ideas to tempt you, so have an idea what you are looking for and keep your budget in mind.
If you meet wedding suppliers and you do not know what they are doing or what they are offering - ask them! You might find an amazing and unexpected addition to your wedding day – like meeting a celebrant like myself!!!!
Pick up leaflets and business cards to evaluate later and take photos as you go around. there will be a lot of vendors to remember.
Look at wedding directories like @Hitched or @Bridebook and check out supplier’s reviews before you follow up for a quote or conversation.
Use the visit as a fact-finding mission and have fun looking around what is on offer for you and your big day. If you have not decided on a date or a venue do not commit to anything but enjoy the freebies like food samples or cake.
I hope you leave the fair with hearts full of love and excitement, feeling one step closer to creating a magical day that will be remembered by you for a lifetime.
If the stress of wedding planning becomes too much, don't let it overwhelm you. Instead, take a break. Reach out to a friend for a chat or go for a leisurely walk. Engage in a pleasant activity that doesn't revolve around the wedding, such as watching a movie you both enjoy!
Enjoy the journey and have the most amazing wedding day.
Loads of Love,
Sabine
